Detroit Lions defensive tackle C.J. Mosley was sent home a day before they defeated Atlanta in London last week. Mosley was busted for marijuana possession in his hotel room.
ESPN is reporting the defensive tackle was punished after being discovered with marijuana in his room at the team hotel in London. He deactivated a smoke detector, which alerted hotel staff to check the room.
The suspension was suppose to last two weeks, but instead, he’s back after nine days. The team is ready to move forward.
“It’s an internal matter,” he said. “We’ve handled it as such. We’ve stated our case clearly, and we’re moving forward.”
Mosley is expected to start Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
