Roy Jones Jr. becomes more delusional by the day. Today’s rant consisted of blaming the UFC for keeping fans from seeing a boxing match between himself and Anderson Silva… Personally, I didn’t know that fight was in such high demand.
In an interview with The MMA Fight Corner, Roy expressed his displeasure with the UFC blocking this “Mega fight.”
“(Anderson Silva) is a person, who like myself, when we succeed at something we want to try something else if we can. We want to see how far we can go. We want to test the skies to see if the sky is the limit,”
“But on his downside, the UFC won’t allow him to fulfill his dream. It’s such a shame because it’s a night that I’m sure people from both worlds would really admire.”
Roy went on to make it clear that it’s not Silva’s fault that the fight isn’t happening:
“I feel really solid that (the UFC) won’t allow him to do (the boxing match),” Jones continued. “But as a fighter, I think (Silva) is a phenomenal fighter and I think he’s probably going to be one of the best UFC fighters to ever touch the planet.”
At their age and with Jones’ declining skills it’s safe to say that no one is checking for this fight. Roy needs to keep knocking out no names overseas and rapping after his victories.
