A few months ago we brought you the story of Louisville cheerleader Dani Cogswell who died of a drug overdose.
At the time it was assume she died in her own apartment, but the final police report has some troubles details of her final hours.
Dani Cogswell, a University of Louisville cheerleader who died of a drug overdose in July, was found dead in a football player’s apartment, according to the final police report that was released Tuesday night.
Freshman wide receiver Cameron Polk, the witness listed as “Polk” in the police report, was the tenant of the apartment, as confirmed by WAVE 3 News in Louisville. Polk is currently listed on the Cardinals’ roster, though he “has since been booted from the team” in an unrelated drug trafficking charge on Oct. 7 and is no longer a student at Louisville.
Polk has not been charged with any crime. Cogswell died from an overdose of heroin, amphetamines and Xanax. It is reported she had been doing heavy drugs for over two years.
