North Carolina has suspended running back Romar Morris for one game after he was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving while impaired.
UNC announced on Monday that Morris would be suspended for the Tar Heels’ game against Pitt on Nov. 15.
“We hold our players accountable for their actions and when a player makes a poor decision, he must face the consequences,” UNC coach Larry Fedora said in a statement. “I’m hopeful Romar will learn from his mistake and make better decisions in the future.”
Morris, a backup for the Tar Heels this season, has gained 162 yards and run for four touchdowns this season.
