Redskins coach Jay Gruden has gotten one thing exceptionally well in his short tenure with the Washington Redskins, he has been brutally upfront regarding the status of injured players. The latest announcement concerns star free-agent acquisition DeSean Jackson and Gruden seems to be giving him a 50-50 chance of playing Sunday against the NY Giants.
Gruden on NYG: “They’ve got some young players that are still finding their way, very similar to our situation. … It’s gonna pay off.”

DeSean is suffering form a shin issue and it really could boil down to how much pain he can tolerate on that leg and if he will be able to cut properly. Gruden has come out in supports of injured Colt McCoy saying that once he passes the proper protocol, he will indeed be named the starter again over Robert Griffin and Kirk Cousins. If Desean isn’t able to go, he will have to wait a week to break out his custom “I Cant Breathe” Cleats
