New York Jets Josh Thomas has been cut only one day after BSO reported on the reserve cornerback twitter plea to return his stolen playbook and passport.
No one on record is saying that losing his playbook cost him his job, but one would wonder the timing of the matter.
Thomas made an appeal on Twitter on Monday for the items to be returned. A Jets spokesman confirmed that Thomas’ team-issued tablet — on which his playbook is stored — was stolen Sunday night in New Jersey. The Jets remotely erased the playbook information from Thomas’ tablet.
It’s not clear whether the incident played any role in his departure. Thomas played in just one game after being signed in October. He was inactive for five of the eight games he was on the roster.
