If you thought that Kobe Bryant and the Lakers were going to give up on bringing Kevin Love again, Kobe himself is here to tell you that is definitely not the case. Love has an opt-out at the end of this season, and Kobe has full intentions are bringing him to LA.
Bryant will keep recruiting stars to come to him, because he isn’t leaving L.A. Along with the Lakers, he’ll be pursuing Kevin Love to leave Cleveland this summer. In a summer in which it’ll be hard to pry LaMarcus Aldridge and Marc Gasol away from Western Conference contenders, there’s always the chance Love will go back on his assurances to management and bail on LeBron James.
It was strange that Kevin Love took an opt-out after just one year, but it leaves the door wide open for what Kobe’s intentions are. The Cavs are winning now so there’s no grumblings from the locker room, but let’s not forget that not too long ago during the losing slump, Love was complaining about his post touches amongst other things. Dwyane Wade even said that the LeBron years in Miami weren’t that fun. There are countless reason as to why we can possibly see Love in a Lakers uniform next season.
