Timothy Bradley has only one loss to his record, but you’d never know that from his demeanor. Bradley was very disappointed by his performance against Manny Pacquiao and he’s looking to prove to the world and himself that he’s not the man that stepped in the ring that night.
During his interview with us here at BSO, Bradley told us that an injury suffered early in the fight against Manny effected him but he was more disappointed that he didn’t stick to his game plan. He felt pressure to KO Pacquiao and abandoned the patient approach that saw him beat Pacquiao in their first fight.
Tonight Bradley looks to return to his calculated style of boxing when he faces Diego Chaves. Chaves is a fighter that has quick hands and a strong chin, it’ll be hard for Bradley to win a slugfest with him. Chaves only has two losses, one by KO to Keith Thurman (everyone gets KO’d by Thurman) and his last loss to Brandon Rios. Chaves was ahead on the cards when he was disqualified for dirty tactics in the Rios fight.
This shows that tonight’s fight won’t be a cake walk for Bradley and he will need every ounce of focus to beat a slugger like Chavez.
If our interview is any indication, Bradley is ready to put himself back into the championship conversation.
