The Tennessee Titans could be without their best wide receiver for the rest of the regular season after a practice mishap.
According to the Tennessean, Wright suffered a cracked bone in his hand when he slipped at Wednesday’s practice and didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice.
The team’s leading receiver with 51 catches, Wright slipped while running a route during Wednesday’s practice. He finished practice but was sore Thursday, coach Ken Whisenhunt said.
Wright was at the open portion of practice with a splint on his right hand. He was given Thursday off “because I didn’t want him to catch the ball and aggravate it,” Whisenhunt said. The coach said Wright was expected to undergo an X-ray, and “we’ll know a little bit more tomorrow, I guess.”
