Adrien Broner is disrespectful and fraudulent for this display on TMZ. Not because he disrespected Jay Z, but because he made himself look stupid and desperate to be Floyd Mayweather.
Broner wants to be Mayweather so bad that he let his pride get in the way of the soundest business decision he could have ever made.
If you missed Broner’s appearance on TMZ, he boldly tried to explain why a five-year, $40 million deal from Roc Nation Sports was derespectful.
I mean let’s get one thing straight. That was clownish. Say what you want about Rihanna, but the idea that Jay Z and Adrien Broner are on the same level as bosses is absurd. Adrien Broner isn’t a boss. Al Haymon decides when and who ‘The Problem’ fights, so Broner works for Haymon.
And speaking of Haymon, lets not leave out that he reportedly has a contentious relationship with Jay Z and his wife Beyonce.
In a legal document via Billboard, Beyonce sued Haymon and her father for fraud in 2010. That and Haymon’s other business interest have made it impossible for them to do business together.
Haymon’s bad blood with Jay Z (and Beyonce, Jay Z’s wife) goes back to their paths crossing in the music business, and it seems that Haymon, who does not speak to the media, has no intention of assisting in Roc Nation’s entrance into boxing. King’s reticence in allowing a giant purse bid is unclear, but what is clear is that he and Haymon are doing everything in their power to prevent a purse bid. King did not return a call seeking comment.

Adrien Broner is not Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao or Miguel Cotto. The odds of Broner ever commanding $20 million a fight or short at best. If has another Maidana type loss, he could be headed for bouts on ESPN.
Just say you can’t work with Jay Z, because it’s a conflict of interest. But a net worth of $5-$10 million doesn’t compare to Jay Z’s $500+ million.
