The National Basketball Association (NBA) announced today that Grammy Award-winning pop icon Christina Aguilera will tip off the 64th NBA All-Star Game during the “Entertainment Series presented by JBL” on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden. Aguilera will be joined by legendary New York City dance troupe the Rockettes for a spectacular open to the night. The game will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Aguilera is a vocal powerhouse known worldwide for countless chart-topping hits, including “Reflection,” “Genie in a Bottle,” “Fighter” and “Beautiful.” In addition to selling more than 30 million albums worldwide, Aguilera starred alongside Cher in the Golden Globe-nominated musical “Burlesque.” Next month, Aguilera will return as judge for the eighth season of “The Voice.”
Prior to the start of this year’s All-Star Game, the Staten Island native will take center stage for a New York-themed medley, culminating with introductions of the 2015 NBA All-Stars. During Aguilera’s set, the Rockettes will dazzle the crowd with eye-high kicks and precision choreography.
With HARMAN serving as the Official Sound of the NBA, its featured brand, JBL, will serve as presenter of this year’s NBA All-Star Entertainment Series. In addition to Aguilera’s exciting musical performance during pregame introductions, last week HARMAN and the NBA announced that Ariana Grande will headline the halftime show at the NBA All-Star Game.
