Houston Texans defensive end, JJ Watt, is set to take his legend to a different level. The likely Defensive Player of the Year has no interest in the new age training style of todays athlete.
J.J. Watt is a beast, he’s too rugged for a regular state of the art gym, so he’s going to train in the woods.
Watt used some of that money from his new contract to purchase himself a log cabin in the “middle of nowhere.” The cabin is somewhere in Wisconsin, and has that ‘Rocky’ feel to it.
“It’s really minimalistic,” Watt told the Houston Chronicle. “The only thing I have to focus on is training and that’s the way I like it. There’s no frills, there’s nothing to distract you up there.”
I guess Watt will hunt and read when he’s not training.
“It’s just an empty space and a log cabin and snow,” Watt said.
Watt plans to build a gym in the cabin’s barn to some futuristic qualities. For those asking the house we used for our featured image is not Watt’s new crib of destruction.
It’s the cabin Ivan Drago provided to Rocky in the movie.
