Tom Brady has MVP’s and Super Bowl rings. If it wasn’t for two losses to the New York Giants, Brady would have a whole hand full of rings.
Tuck told ESPN radio that being a five-time Super Bowl champion would have made Brady the best ever. Those three he has will have to suffice for now.
“If it wasn’t for the Giants, I think Brady would go down, no question, as the greatest quarterback to ever play the game,” Tuck said, via NJ.com. “So I’m glad we were able to steal two from him.”
However, Tuck added that it would be tough to bet against the Patriots on Sunday in the AFC Championship game against the Colts because of the undeniable track record of Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
“The Patriots can be beaten,” Tuck said. “It’s gonna be tough, it’s hard to pick against Belichick and Brady and they’re playing lights out as well, so I think the Colts will have to come in and establish the running game to keep the Patriots defense off balance a little bit. Andrew Luck is playing well, he’s playing really well, and then the Colts defense is surprising people, holding Denver to 13, 14 points at home? That’s tremendous.”
