With Mamba suffering major injuries in each of the last three seasons, many are starting to wonder if this is the end of the road for the future Hall of Famer. Bryant has just one season left on his contract and has already mentioned contemplating retirement.
NBA fans everywhere have to hope that this isn’t how the legend goes out, but it will be very interesting to see if he has the desire to push through another round of rehab to come back for his 20th season.
It’s a tough blow for the team and it’s fans, but a huge boost to their chances of securing a top-five pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Either way, let’s hope we get to see Mamba out there again for a true farewell tour.
