Recruiting brings out both the best and the worst in people and that was on full display this afternoon as Geoff Ketchum of Orangebloods.com and Billy Liucci of Texags.com got into a full fledged Twitter brawl this afternoon. The source of the beef is over a recruit named Kyler Murray that is currently committed to Texas A&M and Texas is trying their hardest to flip him before signing day.
Here are some of the highlights of the feud:
@billyliucci @YSportsRadio Billy, you're playing the class card. That's awesome. Either show up or don't. We can smell the fear.

@billyliucci Do you drink alcohol with current players? Do you drink with under age players?

@billyliucci Why do you cheer for A&M on the sidelines if you are a professional reporter?
— Geoff Ketchum (@gkketch) January 26, 2015
@gkketch You are officially the biggest bitch I've come across. If you have an issue, you can always call me.
— Billy Liucci (@billyliucci) January 26, 2015
@gkketch If I see you again, we'll have a real problem. Difference between us is that I don't need a twitter audience.

That’s just a small sample. You can see the entire back and forth HERE.
The entire thing was embarrassing on many levels for both guys involved. While some of the comments were funny, writers for two major universities should be above Twitter spats like this. Both threw some haymakers about the other’s personal life and that’s just not a good look at all.
Having followed both Ketchum and Liucci for awhile now, unfortunately this type of stuff doesn’t surprise me and it happens way too often. Both need to sit down, relax and just enjoy the ride until National Signing Day.
