Tyron Wheatley has a ton of coaching experience, so it’s not not a big deal from that standpoint, but as far as Michigan men go, it’s as big a hire as you can imagine.
Jim Harbaugh hired the former Wolverines All-American to be the running backs coach at Michigan.

Wheatley spent the past two seasons as the running backs coach for the Bills. Wheatley, a Michigan native, played college football at Michigan and set multiple records and went on to have a successful NFL career, most of which was spent in Oakland.
Adding to the intrigue of the hire, Wheatley’s son T.J., a four-star recruit, is still mulling over his options but has Michigan on his short list of schools he’s considering.
