Signing day is starting to become a joke to me. You give 18-year old boys a platform for the world to see, raising their stock to levels that often become unachievable. To me it just seems that they are putting the athlete before the student and that’s not how it should be.
Nick Buchanan, a 6 foot 4, 280 pound, 3-Star OT committed to Cal last month but de-committed after receiving last minute offers from UGA and Florida. He ultimately chose Florida over UGA but what did he use as a sign that he made right choice?
According to a tweet by @MistaAlderman, Nick Buchanan used a simulated game of NCAA football as a sign that Florida was the right choice .
This quote from Nick Buchanan is hilarious "Last night I played a simulated game in NCAA game and UF won 14-10. That was just another sign."

I don’t really feel to about this. I just think that my future as it relates to education and athletics is more important than allowing a video game to persuade me.
