Anthony Bosch, former owner of the South Florida clinic that supplied performance-enhancing substances to Major League Baseball players and other professional athletes has been sentenced to four years in federal prison.
Bosch received his sentencing of four years on Tuesday but was seeking a more favorable sentencing after cooperating, snitching, during the investigation. Bosch may have his sentence reduced if he continues to show cooperation. Bosch also received 3-year of supervised release.
Bosch plead guilty in October to conspiracy to distribute testosterone to athletes from Biogenesis of America clinic which is now closed. Alex Rodriguez is the most famous player Bosch was link to and they are both expected to testify if Rodriguez cousin Yuri Sucant and ex-University of Miami pitching coach Lazaro Collazo go on trial in April.
