Anthony Davis missed two games for the Pelicans earlier this month and the All-Star Game while dealing with a shoulder sprain.
He played 38 minutes of injury-free ball against the Orlando Magic on Friday night, but the shoulder became an issue again for Davis on Saturday against the Miami Heat. Bleacher Report’s Ethan J. Skolnick reported that Davis aggravated the injury in the first quarter.
Shortly thereafter, the Pelicans announced that he wouldn’t return to the game.
