Victor Martinez tore his meniscus in his left knee during workouts earlier this week and it set to have surgery on Tuesday, preformed by the most well known doctor in the sports world, Dr. James Andrews.
According to ESPN.com, Martinez is set to make $14 million his season after signing a $68 million dollar contract this offseason. The 36-year old was runner-up for AL MVP after posting a .335 average, 32 home runs and 103 RBIs. No timetable has been set for his return.
