It’s officially NBA All-Star weekend, and some people are still grumbling about players that have been left off the All-Star rosters. Doc Rivers specifically is pretty surprised that his center DeAndre Jordan was snubbed from the West roster.
“I think DJ should be on the All-Star team. I think it’s a travesty. I really do,” Rivers said. “Dirk deserves to be on the All-Star team every year as far as I’m concerned. You can never have anything against him. He’s been a great player throughout his career.”
“I just think a guy that’s getting 22 and 27 and 20s and 20s, that’s not on the team?” Rivers said. “There’s never been a team that’s won a title without being a decent defensive team. But that side keeps getting forgotten about in the All-Star Game.”
Never fear Doc. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has been talking about possibly expanding the All-Star rosters and plans to address it with Michele Roberts during the offseason.
