The Miami Dolphins said they would be making changes with the wide receiving core this off season and that has come true. While reports are out about the Dolphins trading Mike Wallace, receiver Brian Hartline was been cut by the team.
Hartline is only 28 years old and had three whole years remaining on his five year, $30 million contract. Cutting Hartline frees up $3.15 million of cap space, but also leaves $4.2 million of dead money due to his $12.5 million guaranteed in the contract.
Hartline played in all 16 games in 2014 but only was able to catch 39 balls for 474 yards and two touchdowns.
Dolphins release WR Brian Hartline, per his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
