Earl Thomas will have a ton of free time on his hands.
Seattle Seahawks All-Pro safety Earl Thomas is expected to be out between six and eight months after having surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn labrum and separation in his left shoulder, reports ESPN.com’s Ed Werder.

Thomas was originally injured during the NFC championship game overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers, but is expected to ready for the start of the season.
Thomas played two weeks later in Seattle’s 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.
