The Buffalo Sabres have landed their first potential building blocks of the future, but it came at a cost.
Winnipeg Jets star winger Evander Kane, along with Zach Bogosian and a goaltender prospect have been traded to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, prospects Brendan Lemieux, Joel Armia and a first-round draft pick.
Kane, 23, should bring a spark to a Sabres team that sorely needs it, however, the Sabres will have to wait until next season for the move to pay-off because Kane just had an operation on his shoulder earlier this week. His recovery time is expected to be 4-6 months.
