I couldn’t imagine driving rowdy kids home to and from school each day. That job is probably really stressful. One bus driver had enough and decided during a bus ride to take the children home that she was done with it all.
According to The Daily Mail,
An elementary school bus driver decided she was ‘done’ and walked off the job, leaving more than 50 Texas children stranded on the side of the road.
The unnamed driver was taking students home from Barrow Elementary School in Brazoria when she stopped the bus on the side of County Road 724 and walked off last week.
The children on the bus were stranded for more than a half hour before a backup driver arrived on the scene to take them home.
The Columbia-Brazoria Independent School District has released a video of the entire incident and you can see one child throwing something and other children being wild. The bus driver has since resigned but parents want criminal charges brought up against her.
I wouldn’t go as far as to leave the kids stranded, but I do think bus drivers should be protected more when it comes to things like this. They get attacked, yelled at, and have to deal with crazy people all day and basically have to sit there and take it for no reason.
