This video is totally amazing.
Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler’s interception with 26 seconds remaining in Super Bowl XLIX on February 1 will go down as one of the biggest plays in NFL history.
This field level view really shows provides so many juicy subplots in the six or seven seconds that it took to actually get the play off. Much has been made about Marshawn Lynch not getting the ball on that final play, and it appears he was scheduled too.
Wilson audibled out of an obvious run call to Lynch, and placed the Seahawks into a spread formation. The play was rushed from the start, and Wilson never allowed himself enough time to truly read the Pats defense.
If Russell has Ricardo Lockette run a bubble screen, out route or the in & out Edelman ran to score the go ahead touchdown, the Seahawks win.
This video is truly epic and telling.
