The Mississippi State Bulldogs were headed home after a 77-74 win over Missouri when they received the biggest scare of their lives, engine failure. According to ESPN.com, just twenty mintues into the flight, one of the planes two engines lost power causing the plane to veer to the left and go completely black for a short period of time.
Sports information director, Greg Ellis confirmed the emergency landing and acknowledged that everyone was safe.

Coach Rick Ray described the events this way:
Loud noise! Later, flight attendant.."Don't worry, everything is fine. We just lost an engine & need to land". Oh, that's all? Landed safely
