The Boston Red Sox’s spring training is not slated to open until Friday and position players are not expected to report until Feb. 24, but newly signed Pablo Sandoval showed up way ahead of schedule to begin preparations for the 2015 MLB season with his new team.
Some guilt could be behind Sandoval showing up early and really excited. He could be hyped about earning his five-year, $100 million deal.
Or, given his appearance, he probably wanted to shed a few pounds before everyone else arrived.
A photograph posted to Twitter by Boston.com’s Steve Silva shows Sandoval looking like a left tackle — rather than a star hitter.
Safe to say Pablo Sandoval didn't miss too many meals this offseason [cough] #redsox #worst2firstround2 pic.twitter.com/zN0ZHUYEXG

Sandoval has never been confused with Barry Bonds, so we can relax a little bit. What that being said considering that the Red Sox with their offseason acquisitions were considered a World Series contender you have to be a little worried if you are a Red Sox Fan.
If you are considering making any future wagers on who will win the World Series, check out http://www.legalbaseballbetting.com/ which reviews the top rated US friendly online sportsbooks offering baseball betting.
Right now the Red Sox are 14-1 to win the World Series. Not a risky pick, but a pick that still will give you a good return on your investment. Part of the reason they have solid odds is because of the addition of Sandoval.
It will be interesting to see after this photo floats around will the odds change any. If I had to guess I am going to say no. It is early in Spring Training and it isn’t like Sandoval is training to flight Floyd Mayweather. He should be able to get into decent enough shape to be be effective. That is the good thing about baseball you can look like a washed up wrestling and still perform at high level.
