The Milwaukee Bucks relationship with Larry Sanders appears to have reached it’s culmination. According to ESPN NBA insider Marc Stein, the Bucks and Sanders have entered the beginning stages of terms for a buyout for the disgruntled center.
When asked last week about Sanders’ status, Bucks coach Jason Kidd told local reporters: “That will be determined during the break.”
Well this week has come, and it appears the Bucks have made their decision to part ways with Sanders, who is currently serving a 10 game suspension due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Sanders has only played in 50 Bucks games since landing his lucrative 4 year, $40 million contract in the summer of 2013, and I am sure that the Bucks organization has completely grown tired of his antics. Under new head coach Jason Kidd, the Bucks have transformed from one of the NBA’s cellar dwellers into an intriguing future Eastern Conference stalwart. For now, it appears Larry Sanders has played his last game in a Bucks uniform.
With buyout talks officially underway, Larry Sanders is not expected to play for Bucks again. East’s 30-23 upstarts moving on without him
