Every NFL franchise has a plan a schedule for when they believe it’s time to move on from a legendary veteran. That don’t all handle it the proper way — but NFL clubs are famous for kicking you on the way out the door.
Andre Johnson and the Houston Texans have decided to part ways after 12-years. Houston made it easy for veteran by insulting him with an offer of a reduced role.
Texans brass also reportedly predicted how many balls he’d catch next season.
What was Andre Johnson's response when the Texans told him he would catch 40 balls next year? "I just laughed at em."

Johnson divulged more during an interview with The Houston Chronicle.
“I don’t know how you tell a guy who catches 85 balls that he’ll only probably catch 40. I feel like the role they were trying to put me in I’d be held back from maximizing my talents. I feel like that was the best thing for both sides.
“Why sit there and be miserable when I can go somewhere else and be able to show my talents.”
Johnson, who turns 34 in July, had 85 catches for 936 yards (11-yard average) and three touchdowns last season while the Texans finished 9-7.
