Brent Grime’s wife is back at it again. This time instead of taking expletive filled shots at the NFL, she has it out for a pair of Pro Football Focus Roto World writers, Mike Clay & Evan Silva. The whole dispute seems to have started when Silva wrote an article for Yahoo Sports stating that he felt that CB was a position of need for the Dolphins heading into the 2015 season and Mike Clay backed up his colleagues sentiment with some statistics referring to Grimes not being a corner who shadows opposing team’s best receivers, but as a stationary corner who played most of his snaps as the left corner.
Brent Grimes is going on age 32 & is a stationary LCB with very little on the depth chart beyond him. CB is arguably #Dolphins biggest need.

Grimes is not a shadow corner, so ignore the noise. Covered the right outside receiver 87% of the time last year… — Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) March 23, 2015
These comments apparently did not sit well with Miko Grimes, who have parlayed her Twitter rants into some media jobs.
I find it quite strange that ppl like @evansilva have a job in my field while im at home doing his job better than him in 140 characters. — Miko Grimes (@iHeartMiko) March 23, 2015
Dear Evan Silva: If u would like to know about the Dolphins, maybe u should call someone that will give u proper information.
— Miko Grimes (@iHeartMiko) March 23, 2015
Or maybe u didnt call. Maybe u did like most reporters and watched the highlights of a few Dolphins games and decided u knew enough.
— Miko Grimes (@iHeartMiko) March 23, 2015
But what u didnt do, is a good job. In fact, u did a horrible job! U should be embarrassed that that article has your name attached to it. — Miko Grimes (@iHeartMiko) March 23, 2015
He wasnt even on Decker that whole game, dummy! Decker is weak! RT @Dolphins_Robert: @willjeffrey89 (cont) http://t.co/nLzCjsUdM7

PFF is worse than ESPN and NFL stats. I think its ran by a bunch of guys that have no clue how this game is played or they're idiots. Pick?!
— Miko Grimes (@iHeartMiko) March 23, 2015
Dear @evansilva: U have a point in saying the Dolphins need corners, however ur reasons are FALSE! Stop disrespecting my craft & DO UR JOB!

Brent Grimes’ wife via twitter: Husband not stay-at-home CB, Eric Decker “is weak”, Evan Silva “dumb/horrible”, PFF “idiots”, me “lying” OK! — Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) March 23, 2015
Mike Clay and Evan Silva are very respectable NFL writers who don’t have to lie about where Brent Grimes lined up for the 2014 season. It’s not like Silva even mentioned Grimes being a bad player. In his article he more so commented on how weak the position was behind him, and Clay kind of just reaffirmed the Dolphins need by noting Grimes’ age and skillset. Grimes’ wife has every right to defend her husband, but maybe she should pick and choose her battles. Grime is coming off of 2 consecutive pro-bowl seasons as a member of the Dolphins and is known around the NFL as one of the best cover corners. Just because some writers used analytics to do their job doesn’t make them bad people or out of line. This is probably a situation that could have been resolved behind closed doors, but in the age of social media, issue will always continue to be aired out in public.
