This a big year for the NFL when it come to free agency. It seems that this free agent class is loaded with veteran players who have played well during their careers yet find themselves without a job. Brain Orakpo, veteran edge rusher, has played his entire 6-years in the NFL with the Redskins but is open to joining the Cowboys if they show interest.
When asked about joining the Cowboys, Orakpo said:
“I wouldn’t mind it, I wouldn’t mind it. I mean, I know it’s been a big rivalry for years, but I am a Texas boy, man, so I wouldn’t mind it.”
Money plays a big role for most in deciding where to continue your NFL career. When asked, if money wasn’t an issue where would you like to play, Orakpo made it known he was interested in returning home to Texas.
“It would either have to be one of the Texas teams, since I’m from Texas, obviously, or I love playing for the Redskins.”
Orakpo missed most of the 2012 and 2014 season with multiple pectoral injuries but played lights out in 2013, recording 10 sacks and 60 tackles.
