The Los Angeles Clippers defeated OKC 120-108 last night. Chris Paul was a major reason for the victory, as he poured in a game-high 33 points to go along with nine dimes.
Paul helped slow down Westbrook, as the MVP candidate was held 24 points and turned the ball over a season-high ten times.
Some feel Paul should receive some MVP consideration, but the 8-time all-star could careless about any individual accolades.
“I just need to win a championship. You can have whatever else. I don’t care. You can have the assists and steals titles, you can have all that. I just need to win a championship.”
As great as Paul is, it’s pretty amazing that he’s never made the conference finals, let alone the NBA Finals.
In order for the Clippers to make a deep run this year, they’ll obviously need a healthy Blake Griffin, who is currently nursing a staph infection in his elbow.
Paul turns 30 in May. Time is starting to creep up.
