I believe this is what the kids say is being REAL.
According to investigators, officers attempted to stop 23-year-old Jesse Frank Vasquez for driving down Interstate 35 near Rundberg Lane without headlights on Thursday when he drove across a concrete median and continued driving away from the officer.
Officers said as Vasquez drove down I-35, he began throwing items out of the car, swerving across various lanes of traffic and eventually exiting at Riverside Drive, running several red lights as he drove down Riverside. Police said Vasquez swerved into oncoming traffic on Riverside Drive, then continued driving and turned north on Frontier Valley Drive and pulled into an apartment complex.
Police said Vasquez’s breath smelled like alcohol and he had three bottles of Lone Star Beer in his car. Another officer discovered that Vasquez had thrown a six-pack of Lone Star Beer out his car window as he drove down I-35. Officers also believe that he threw marijuana out the window, but they could not recover everything thrown out of the car, the affidavit states.
Vasquez told police he drove away from officers because he knew he was going to be arrested and wanted to make sure he saw his girlfriend before he went to jail. “I know I’m going away” and “I had to see my girl,” the affidavit states Vasquez told officers.
At least he was honest.
Mr. Vasquez has been charged with public intoxication, evading arrest and multiple traffic offenses. He is currently in jail, no word if his girl has come to visit.
