This season’s NBA feel-good story, Hassan Whitside, may have hit his first rough patch of the season with a heated scuffle and ejection in last night’s Miami Heat victory over the Phoenix Suns. After Markief Morris was ejected for a hard foul on his old teammate, Goran Dragic, Whiteside and Len got into an on-court altercation that resulted in Whiteside being sent to the locker room early. Today Whiteside told NBA security, who are investigating the incident for potential fines and suspensions, that Len was simply frustrated because he kept getting dunked on. The Heat won the game so Whiteside technically didn’t hurt his team that much, and there shouldn’t be ay suspension from either party for that 10-second wrestling display. Whiteside might want to learn a thing or two about leverage the next time he squares up with someone.
