Look at Jim Harbaugh trying to win man of the year awards all across the midwest.
The University of Michigan football coach stopped and assisted two patients after a rollover crash on I-94 Tuesday afternoon.
Harbaugh and another staff member from the football program stopped to assist two passengers of a car that crashed at approximately 2:40 p.m.
They helped the passenger, a 73-year-old woman, out of the car and helped administer first aid to the driver, a 53-year-old man. Harbaugh and Minick gave the injured woman their coats to keep her warm while they waited for an ambulance. Both victims had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
Ann Arbor Fire Department Chief Robert Vogel said the car had been on I-94 westbound and flipped multiple times before ending up on the eastbound side of I-94 near State Street. A Michigan State Police release said the car, a 2003 Jeep Cherokee, hit the median before traveling up a snow embankment and landing on the eastbound side of the highway.
Emergency crews closed eastbound I-94 highway for nearly one hour to administer care to patients on the scene and clear debris from the crash.
