Kevin Durant had his third foot surgery this morning — it was deemed a success like the other — and sent out this message to all the doubters.
The Thunder released a statement updating Durant’s condition on Tuesday.
“The procedure was performed by Dr. Martin O’Malley with Thunder medical personnel present at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City,” the team statement said. “Durant will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season and is expected to return to full basketball activities in the next four to six months.”
The 2014 NBA MVP and six-time All-Star had a screw inserted last October to repair a Jones fracture in his right foot. He later underwent another surgery on Feb. 22 in an attempt to alleviate soreness and discomfort caused by the screw.
