Madonna is a legend, even when she isn’t falling off stage. So when she speaks people listen and she recently spoke with Rolling Stones about Kanye West and his penchant for getting frustrated about award show winners.
Via Rolling Stones,
“Don’t go to awards shows looking for justice,” she says in interviews for Rolling Stone’s new cover story. “That’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Just go and have fun. I never got too engaged with who wins awards or not, because I don’t honestly think it’s that important. So that part of him I can’t relate to. Like, what’s the point of fighting for somebody to … like, ‘This person should have got it?’… I think sometimes he takes things too seriously.”
I think it’s clear that Kanye takes these award shows too seriously. It’s all subjective. What Kanye likes might not be what you or I like. I mean, it’s silly for a person to get angry about the winner when all of them have their own merits for being nominated. Kanye West loses credibility when he decides that his friend Beyonce is better than other people who he never listened to. It’s kind of a conflict of interest. Listen to Madonna, Kanye, and just enjoy the show.
