Mguel Cotto’s first fight under Roc Nation will happen on June 6, and El Nuevo Dia in Puerto Rico is reporting that Cornelius “K9” Bundrage is the likely opponent.
Cotto, 34, hasn’t fought since last June — when he defeated Sergio Martinez in a stoppage win to pick up the WBC middleweight title, as well as the lineal championship of the division.
Cotto (39-4, 32 KO) struggled negotiating a fight with Canelo Alvarez, which led to Alvarez and Golden Boy signing a May 9 deal to fight James Kirkland instead.
Bundrage, 41, is the reigning 154-pound IBF champion who captured the junior middleweight belt of the IBF, for a second time, on October 14 of last by beating Carlos Molina by unanimous decision.
