The Rockets have just received some bad news concerning their title hopes. Starting point guard Patrick Beverley has decided to opt for surgery to repair ligament damage in his wrist instead of going through treatment and playing through pain. This decision will end his 2014-2015 season. This is probably the smartest decision for Beverley personally, since he is an unrestricted free-agent this summer. The defensive hounding guard will be able to show teams that he will be back to full strength by next season, as opposed to risking further damage to that wrist.
