The Patriots are going to have a hard time defending their Super Bowl without the likes of Browner and Revis patrolling their secondary. Today, it appears they’ve made a move towards at least a potential fill in for one of their spots.

Eagles fans were quick to shout good riddance to the man they’ve nicknamed “Toast” for always getting burnt by Dez Bryant and the likes. But really, this just adds another body to a Patriots secondary that will need as much competition in camp as they can get. Mike Reiss reported earlier:
In addition to CB Terence Newman, Patriots also had CBs Robert McClain, Bradley Fletcher and Tarell Brown in for visits on Tuesday.

The fact that they’re meeting with 36 year old Terence Newman should give you a sense as to their desperation. But I guess it can’t hurt?
Next year may be a long for the Pats if they don’t make some incredible moves in the mean time.
