Some guys may simply be meant to be assistant coaches. Its not a bad way to make a living in life, and is less stressful at times.
Brian Shaw gained the reputation as a talented and masterful coach while he was an assistant for several big named coaches.
Shaw was passed up for several high-profile jobs in the past — with most experts unsure why. After finally getting a shot with the Nuggets, Shaw failed and was fired this week.
Shaw could have been a scapegoat for an inept from office, but it was evident that the Nuggets never quite bought into him as a head coach.
This season’s team is headed for the lottery. His overall record was 56-85.
Paul George is crying foul. The Pacers All Star made huge strides in his game under Shaw’s watch, and can’t understand why it didn’t work in Denver.
