While AP is busy fighting with Minnesota over when and where he’ll be playing next, the other disgraced RB, Ray Rice, is a free agent and has recently moved out of his Baltimore mansion.
Ray Rice is moving on from Baltimore — selling the mansion he built in 2012 … the same year he signed a $35 million contract with the Ravens … this according to the Baltimore Sun.
The 4,736 sq. ft. home was listed at $899,000 — and the Sun says Ray has already found a buyer. The sale is reportedly set to close in April.
So, where’s Ray headed next? The disgraced running back says he and his wife Janay are moving back to his hometown of New Rochelle, NY.
Rice is still looking to sign with another NFL team … so it’s possible they could move again … if anyone is willing to take a chance on the guy
That’s the way to do it, move out when no one is looking. Plus, he’s moving back to his hometown in NY where he’ll be adored by the locals despite being an infamous woman beater. When the town’s prodigal son is set to return, they’re bound to forgive him.
Truth be told, you can’t really blame a guy for wanting to move home after a moment like this. I imagine there aren’t many people left defending him besides his family and the people in that town, anyway. Hopefully this will help Rice in the long run.
It sure must have been hard leaving this beauty behind, though. Given what this whole incident has cost him, who knows if he’ll ever have enough money again to buy another.
