The Dallas Mavericks currently hold a 40-22 record, which is only good enough for the sixth seed in the western conference.
Monta Ellis has been a major part of Dallas’ regular season success. He’s averaging 19.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists a game. However, this summer he has the option to opt out of his contract and test free agency.
Sources close to the situation believe Ellis will opt out of his deal this summer and seek a new multi-year deal based on his current play.
Rajon Rondo and Tyson Chandler could both leave this summer as well. Looks like Mark Cuban will have his hands full.
