After the Raiders have whiffed on all of the free-agent RB’s, at appears as if they will settle on the underachieving Trent Richardson as a stop-gap. Trent Richardson was the 3rd overall selection in the 2012 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns. Richardson was then during the beginning of the 2013 season to the Indianapolis Colts for a first round pick after the Browns overhauled their front office in the transition from Mike Holmgren to Ray Farmer. Trent Richardson’s tenure in Indy was nothing short of a disaster, with 487 and 518 yards in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, respectively. Seeing how Oakland is a kin to NFL free-agent signings, as Senior citizens retiring to Florida, I’m not sold on Richardson’s future prospectus as a Raider.
Per a league source, the Raiders are signing RB Trent Richardson.
