Ron Jaworski loves to pick apart quarterback entering the NFL. Most of the time he’s dead wrong — yet ESPN continues to provide him with the ultimate platform.
Jaworski was a guest on Mike and Mike in the Morning, and told the guys that he wouldn’t select Jameis Winston No. 1 overall.
“I’ve studied a lot of him, I think Jameis Winston has a big upside in the NFL, but there are some real flaws to his game,” Jaworski said. “Quite honestly, I would not take him at that No. 1 pick.”
Jaworksi surprisingly didn’t take the easy way out — by highlighting Winston’s immatury or off the field issues.
“I’m not talking about the off-the-field stuff. I have no comment on that because I’m not privy to that kind of information. But there are certainly mechanical flaws in his game that are troubling to me,” Jaworski said.
Remember — this is the same Jaworski that had Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel as the No. 3 prospect at the position, behind Blake Bortles and Zach Mettenberger.
Jaworski had Teddy Bridgewater as his fifth ranked quarterback last draft season.
