Cole Beasley has transformed himself from an undrafted wide receiver out of SMU, into one of the more productive slot receivers in the NFL.
Beasley sat down with the Dallas Morning News to discuss his journey to the NFL, and the shock of a $4 million direct deposit.
On how he got his signing bonus after signing a new deal this offseason:
“I have direct deposit, so I woke up one day and it said, ‘You have a direct deposit greater than $500.’ I said, ‘Sweet!’ It was a good morning. I was kind of panicking at first. I asked my agent, ‘I don’t even know what to do that. Do you just put it in the bank? Do they insure it for that much? I had so many questions.”
Uh Cole — direct deposit means it’s already in the bank.
To put it in perspective, Beasley said he received “1,500 — after taxes about $1,200” when he originally signed with the Boys.
