I don’t know if this was a friendly conversation or a bit of trash talk but I have always felt that bringing someone’s family into trash talk is out of line. After the Celtics blowout win over the Cavs on Sunday, Evan Turner was spotting bickering a little with LeBron James and now we know what was said.
“I was talking to (Cavs guard) Iman Shumpert because we went to middle school together, and then LeBron came over to me because I’m (an Ohio State) Buckeye or whatever, and I told him I know a little guy who can beat his young guy. He asked me who, and I said, Andre Iguodala Jr. We just laughed about that.”
Turner, who apparently scouts 12-year-old basketball games when he is not playing on the court, has spent some time watching his ex-teammate Iguodala’s 7-year old son play and he likes his game a lot.
“He’s pretty tall, too. He’s like seven and he’s up to here,” Turner said, holding his hand up at approximately chest height. “He’s going to be pretty good. He can actually shoot.”
I’ve never heard anything about Iguodala’s son but there are dozens of video of LeBron’s son all over YouTube and that kid has game.
