Manny Pacquiao has gone to great lengths to combat a series of calf cramps that have made it hard for him to train at 100%. They’ve gone as far as purchasing $1,800 jars of cream to relax his muscles (hopefully this is an approved substance).
Floyd Mayweather Sr. doesn’t think that it’ll be enough and he says that Floyd Jr. will take advantage of the cramps when they occur during the match May 2nd.
“To me, that would be Floyd put pressure on him, back him up, back him up on his legs,” Mayweather Sr. recently told David Mayo of mlive.com. “It’s going to be good because he ain’t going to be able to jump all night like that.”
He went on the further explain who the cramps will handicap Manny:
“He might be able to do it for two or three rounds, but if his legs are really hurting him – I mean, he can get his legs back well before the fight, but in a good, tough fight, the (pain) will probably come back. It’ll probably come back to him,” Floyd Sr. said.
Seems like these cramps would make for a good excuse in the case of a Pacquiao loss and it’d be enough to drive a rematch between the two.
