The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were seconds away from dethroning the then undefeated Kentucky Wildcats in the Elite Eight.
Although they came up short, the Fighting Irish definitely have something to build on for next season. The return of starting point guard Demetrius Jackson is a good start.

Jackson averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 dimes a game. He was projected to be a late first round pick.
